The Youth Hostel Füssen is just 1 km west of the centre of town in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, it is a good base for outdoor activities such as hiking and bycycle tours. Local attractions include the castles at Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau (3 km). The hostel is very close to bus and rail terminals and the tourist information centre.
Enjoy the town's special charm while strolling through the town and taking a look at the shops: that, too, is something that is especially enjoyable in Füssen. Far from the roar of the traffic, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Reichenstrasse, wander down crooked lanes and discover many a fine souvenir.
